There is plenty of talk about superheroes and how cool they are, but what if you’ve got a dark side? After all, darkness can’t exist without light, and what good is good without a little evil?
We’ve already imagined every zodiac sign as a superhero, but let’s jump over to the other side and imagine them as supervillains!
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Talk about impulsive! Aries is definitely the Joker. He is famous for his unpredictable, erratic behavior and causing mayhem, just because he feels like it, really.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
A lover of order, structure, and consistency, a Taurus can end up pretty stubborn, much like one of the most powerful villains in the X-Men universe, Magneto. You’ll do anything you can to manipulate everything around you to meet your vision.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Gemini possesses two different personalities, and you never know which one you’ll get. Within the realm of villains, Gemini could be double-dealing and duplicitous. That means that Gemini is certainly Gotham City’s Harvey Dent, also known as Two-Face.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Deeply loyal and emotional can end up moody and manipulative, which is why Cancer is Doctor Doom. He only sees himself as the guardian of his country and his primary concern is keeping his people safe, but maybe he’s gone a little too far by ruling with iron-fisted control.
Leo (July 23-August 22)
With a love of the spotlight and a flair for drama, the very theatrical Leo makes for the perfect Riddler, also known as Edward Nigma, from Batman. He certainly loves to be the center of attention, and his deeds always seem to be directed at achieving that.
His self-conscious use of riddles and puzzles are part of his quest for infamy.
Virgo (August 23-September 22)
Smart and sophisticated, Virgos are proficient at planning and big-picture thinking, but they are also known for getting the job done without a lot of complaining or needing fanfare. That’s why Virgos are the Red Skull, the archenemy of Captain America.
This inventive genius is patient, devious, and cunning.
Libra (September 23-October 22)
With the sign of the scales, Libras are known for balance and chase justice and equality. However, should the scales tip, the dark side of Libra is extreme judgment. That’s where Marvel’s Thanos comes in. Thanos sees himself as the judge of life’s imbalance in the universe.
He just wants to bring stability to the universe, by wiping half of its inhabitants out.
Scorpio (October 23-November 21)
With all that jealousy and secretiveness, the manipulative Scorpio makes for a great Pamela Lillian Isley, better known as Poison Ivy. Naturally distrusting, she can become violent when someone is standing in the way of her reaching her goals.
Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)
The undiplomatic and undeterred behavior of those born under this sign is only rivaled by their impatience and knack for promising more than they can deliver. That’s why the Sagittarius is the Green Goblin.
He went through great lengths to become a villain, from adopting the façade to using an arsenal of high-tech weapons to terrorize folks, but he lacks the conviction of a truly evil villain.
Capricorn (December 23-January 20)
Capricorns are disciplined, responsible, and self-controlled. They don’t let their feelings interfere with what they’re trying to accomplish, which can also come off as coldness. The incredibly serious cyborg Brainiac is the perfect match for Capricorn.
Aquarius (January 20-February 18)
Aside from the obvious parallels between a shape-shifter and the water sign that can easily adapt to the energy around them, X-Men‘s Mystique is temperamental, persistent, and aloof like Aquarius.
Pisces (February 19-March 20)
Although Pisces can be compassionate, they tend to turn themselves into the victim or martyr and let their self-pity drive their actions. That’s the attitude that caused the Vulture to become a criminal.
