However, some partners from certain zodiac signs simply struggle to make Valentine’s Day feel special. Or to remember it at all.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
How many Geminis wake up on the morning of an important holiday or anniversary, only to realize that the date has ambushed them once again? This sign might have bought a gift or had a great idea for a romantic evening… but that was six months ago, and they forgot to follow through on it. They’ll scramble to come up with a creative way to say “I’m sorry,” at least.
Gemini might also surprise you on a random Tuesday with a romantic treat as a way to make it up to you. They’re prone to going over the top and thinking outside the (chocolate) box, so the good news is that whatever they end up doing, it’ll be memorable. Just don’t expect it to happen on Valentine’s Day.
Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)
Sagittarians get a little twitchy every February as hearts and flowers pop up everywhere. It’s not that they don’t care–far from it! But this free-wheeling zodiac sign tends to see commitment as a trap.
The best way to calm them down is to let them know that you just want to order pizza and watch Netflix on V-Day. The trick is that you have to mean it. You can’t play mind games with Sagittarius or even drop hints that you hope they’ll figure out. If you say you don’t want anything for Valentine’s Day, then that’s exactly what you’ll get.
Capricorn (December 22-January 19)
Capricorn isn’t going to sweep you off your feet. They’ll never stage a big, public rom-com moment because it just isn’t in their nature. Capricorn is a caring, loyal, and thoughtful type, so don’t mistake their lack of Valentine’s Day fireworks to mean that they don’t love you. They simply don’t get the hype.
If you’re a Cancer, Libra, or Pisces–all signs that crave lots of reassurance in their romantic partnerships–then Capricorn might seem cold. That can cause a lot of tension and hurt feelings on Valentine’s Day if you’re waiting for them to surprise you.
Talk to your Sea-Goat about the expectations and desires you have for this romantic holiday. If they understand how important it is to you, they can plan accordingly.
