Not everyone born under these signs will display these traits. But on average, according to astrology, the traits possessed by these signs have the necessary ingredients that go into the makings of a toxic boyfriend!
1. Leo (July 23-August 22)
Leo sees himself as “King” in the relationship – he is the “star.” His ego craves attention, and if he doesn’t get what he perceives as enough from you, he’ll get it from elsewhere. When the two of you are out, he is constantly eyeballing your competition and weighing you against them in his mind.
If you call him on it, he will tell you to “chill” and retort with something smart like: “Hey, I gave you my heart – not my eyes.”
2. Scorpio (October 23-November 21)
No matter how much attention you give him and how thoroughly you prove yourself to him time after time, his suspicions are never going to go away. Trust issues are born Scorpio. While he will almost undoubtedly be loyal to you, his suspicions and accusations toward you can get extremely tiresome.
It will leave you walking on eggshells and you may even find yourself altering your lifestyle to keep the peace. You might start not spending as much time with your friends in order to not have to deal with his jealousy and insecurity. So you have to ask yourself: Is this really worth it?
3. Aquarius (January 20-February 18)
No matter how bright and self-sufficient you may be, he is never going to let you feel like his equal. Aquarius has a superiority complex. In anything the two of you do, he is always going to try to one-up you. He is always going to know (or thinks he knows) about something new, better, and more worthwhile than anything you might come up with.
Aquarius also has lofty goals, and he will never fail to remind you that your relationship comes second to any of his idealistic undertakings. If he has to choose, you lose.
4. Capricorn (December 22-January 19)
Due to impossibly high standards, Capricorn will leave you feeling like you never quite measure up. When you do something for Capricorn, he will thank you, of course. However, a little while afterward, you’ll get the “I appreciate it, but…” He might start suggesting things that “could have been better.”
But what’s worse is when he starts discussing your “shortcomings.” He might suggest that you don’t do this or that in a given situation so that he isn’t “embarrassed.” It can be hard to truly please Capricorn.
5. Pisces (February 19-March 20)
While Pisces might make the most caring and empathetic boyfriend you’ve ever had, you may never be able to build a solid connection and get to know the real person underneath. Pisces lives in his own world, and isn’t quick to share his thoughts – or even share them at all.
When conflicts arise, wanting to avoid confrontation, he will say “I don’t want to talk about it” or simply retreat. It’s hard for bonding when there will always exist an impenetrable barrier.
