Here’s the perfect college major for every Sign of the Zodiac.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
No, Aries, you can’t major in “winning.” Although you might be in college on an athletic scholarship (or just attending the school of your favorite team), you still have to take classes.
The best fit might be something practical and body-focused such as Nutrition or Sports Medicine. You’d also make an excellent Physical Therapist.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Stubborn Taurus needs to be careful about choosing a major because once you start, you won’t give up or change course–even if you discover you chose poorly.
As a practical, level-headed Earth Sign, you might thrive as an Ecology major. Civil Engineering could also be appealing.
Steer clear of anything too theoretical, like Literature.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Given that Gemini’s ruling planet is Mercury, it only makes sense that you’d major in Communications. You might specialize in journalism or even creative writing, but for the Twins it’s all about communication and information.
Shy Geminis might also look into pursuing a degree in Library Science.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
The answer to this question depends on how comfortable you are with blood and gore, Cancer. If you can stomach it, then you’d make a phenomenal nurse or doctor and should choose a Pre-Med path.
However, if that doesn’t appeal then you should go with either Psychology or Early Childhood Education.
Leo (July 23-August 22)
You’re drawn to more creative majors, Leo. The obvious choice is Theater, but you might also find that Political Science is a good fit.
Leos are great leaders, and your natural charisma makes politics a good fit.
Another great choice for Leo is a Marketing major. You can use your natural charm to sell just about anything.
Virgo (August 23-September 22)
Virgo, why are you even reading this? You already have a 12-point plan for your college career, so the stars have little to offer you in the way of advice. You’ll probably study Business or something a little more concrete like Engineering or Architecture.
If you’ll accept a little advice, consider taking a few classes in art or literature just to stay well-rounded.
Libra (September 23-October 22)
This one is a no-brainer, Libra. You should 100% choose Pre-Law in college. Just think, you’ll get to debate ethics and justice all day long–you love doing that even when it’s not for school.
If the idea of going to law school leaves you feeling cold, there’s another interesting option you might consider. Study Art History in college to indulge your love of culture and beauty. It might not be the most practical degree, but you’ll feel fulfilled.
Scorpio (October 23-November 21)
Scorpio, you are the least likely Zodiac Sign to choose a standard college experience. You’d rather go to a trade school and learn a marketable skill or apprentice with a master in your chosen profession.
However, if you do choose to go to college, then you’ll probably major in English or History to have a solid, general liberal arts foundation.
Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)
The stars have some advice for you, Sagittarius: Take a gap year.
It’s much more common for Europeans to take a year off before starting college, but the practice is catching on in America. Travel if you can; otherwise, get an entry-level job or internship in a field that interests you.
If you go straight to college with only a vague idea of what you want to do when you “grow up,” you’ll be wasting time and money.
Capricorn (December 23-January 20)
There are two college majors that make sense for a Capricorn. On the one hand, you are fascinated by history and would love to spend your time learning about it.
On the other hand, your practical mindset is nudging you toward choosing Business as a major so that you can apply your degree to the real world.
Follow your heart, just this once. You can always get an MBA later.
Aquarius (January 20-February 18)
Is traditional college a good fit for you, Aquarius? You might be better off volunteering for an organization like Greenpeace or AmeriCorps.
Alternately, you could apprentice with someone you admire–a reiki healer or massage therapist, perhaps?
You’ll go to college if and when you feel like it’s time. But you won’t enroll just because everyone expects it.
Pisces (February 19-March 20)
People have underestimated your intelligence for your entire life, Pisces. They think because you have a creative, intuitive way of looking at the world–and yes, because you sometimes forget to do your homework–that you aren’t academically gifted.
College is a chance to prove them wrong. As long as you study something that you are truly passionate about–Dance, Art, or Creative Writing might be a good fit–then you’ll excel.
