Are you as excited as I am for the upcoming “Friends” reunion special on HBO? To celebrate the happy news, we’re taking a look at the Zodiac signs of all six central cast members–and comparing them to the Friends’ fictional counterparts!
Jennifer Anniston: February 11, Aquarius
Aquarius is an interesting sign. They are smart and passionate about the causes that draw them in. They’re also independent and may not settle down for long–or at all.
Rachel Greene: May 5, Taurus
The first of two Taurus among the fictional friends, this sign is usually very grounded and level-headed. To be honest, I’d have pegged Rachel for either Cancer or Capricorn–but nobody asked me!
Courteney Cox: June 15, Gemini
Geminis are quick-witted, interested in a wide variety of things and tend to have unconventional love lives. Sounds like Courteney Cox to me!
Monica Geller: April 22, Taurus
Taurus is a loyal, steadfast friend–but also incredibly stubborn, especially when convinced that they’re right and you’re wrong.
Matthew Perry: August 19
Leos like Matthew Perry tend to have big personalities and a lot of charisma. It makes sense that the charming actor would be born under this sign.
Chandler Bing: April?
There’s no “canon” birthday for Chandler, but the show does mention that he was born in April. He could either be an Aries or a Taurus–but come on, he’s totally an Aries. It is known!
Matt LeBlanc: July 25, Leo
A significant percentage of Leos pursue a career in entertainment or politics because they’re such natural performers and extroverts.
Joey Tribbiani: Unknown
We don’t have an official birthday for Joey, but… he’s gotta be a Sagittarius, right? Fun-loving, goofy and always good for a laugh, Sagittarius just seems like the right fit.
Lisa Kudrow: July 30, Leo
Wait, what?! While Phoebe had some big Pisces energy (which is why I think her character’s birthday was off by three days, see below), real-life Lisa Kudrow is yet another Leo.
Phoebe Buffay: February 16, Aquarius
Phoebe is officially an Aquarius, which kind of fits her free-spirited character. However, I think she would have made an even better Pisces thanks to her unconventional approach to life.
David Schwimmer: November 2, Scorpio
Ooh, we have a Scorpio on the list! Scorpios are intense, focused and a little intimidating at times.
Ross Geller: October 18, Scorpio
Schwimmer is the only Friend whose real-life and fictional Zodiac signs align! His romantic cluelessness doesn’t necessarily align with his Zodiac sign; in fact, he’d make a better Cancer than a Scorpio.
