How Each Sign of the Zodiac Embraces the Spirit of Fall

Welcome to October! The best month of the year (don’t @ me) is finally here, but what’s the best way for each sign of the Zodiac to enjoy the glories of the season?

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Fall is all about outdoor sports for you, Aries. Touch football in the yard, the last soccer games of the year–heck, you’d play croquet if that was the only game you could find. You’d rather play outdoors, but if the weather turns on you, then you’ll be parked in front of the TV to root for your favorite teams.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

This is your chance to clean up the garden and get the last harvest of the year wrapped up. Even if your “garden” is just a collection of pots on the porch, you still take pride in your green thumb. Your friends and family love this time of year, too, because you’re always baking and cooking delicious treats.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Geminis love Halloween! You spend all month crafting a clever costume to impress all your friends. Decorating your home for the season–and snacking on snack-size chocolate, of course–is your favorite way to celebrate October.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Break out your sweaters and flannel, drink lots of pumpkin spice lattes, and live your best life–even if it’s a little bit basic. All that matters is if you’re having fun. You don’t need to impress anyone, dearheart.

Leo (July 23-August 22)

Leo, cold weather is not your favorite. As soon as that nip in the air begins, you’re already packing your bags to head someplace warm. Your idea of a perfect October involves laying out on a beach–or, if you can’t get there, at least baking yourself in a sauna.

Virgo (August 23-September 22)

You’re not really a huge fan of most holidays — especially when you get the pressure of trying to entertain. You might be tempted to throw the perfect Halloween party or even start getting ready for Thanksgiving since everyone expects you to play host or hostess. This year, give yourself permission to let someone else take on that responsibility so you can just show up and have a good time.

Libra (September 23-October 22)

The changing of the seasons is an opportunity to go shopping for Libra. Summer trends are on sale, and fall and winter styles are just now hitting the shelves. You’ve earned that new jacket! And you’ve been meaning to spruce up your home, maybe buy a new pair of boots for autumn… Just remember to make a budget and stick to it, Libra.

Scorpio (October 23-November 21)

It’s no surprise that Scorpio is naturally drawn to winter. With Pluto as your ruler, you are more in tune with the stark beauty of the coldest season. Fall is a prelude to your favorite time of year, but you still enjoy carving pumpkins and partying on Halloween. But you could do without the battle against fallen leaves piled up in your yard–and your seasonal allergies.

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)

It’s time for an autumn road trip, Sagittarius. Pile in the car and head out for a hike through the mountains as the leaves change or go for one last trip to the beach. This is a great time of year to enjoy the great outdoors and explore places you’ve never seen before.

Capricorn (December 23-January 20)

Capricorn, not everybody gets your hobbies. But fall is an ideal time to indulge in one of your favorite activities. Stay indoors with a mug of hot cocoa and put together a puzzle, or head outside to go bird watching. You might even take a class on foraging for wild food or basketweaving. You do you, Cap.

Aquarius (January 20-February 18)

To be honest, Aquarius, sometimes you don’t even notice the passage of the seasons. You’re too often preoccupied with a project or passion to pay attention to things, but stop for a moment and look around this October. Go for a walk outdoors and experience all the sensory delights of the season.

Pisces (February 19-March 20)

Dear Pisces, every season is your favorite, isn’t it? You get excited about the possibilities about every new season, and fall is no different. You’re the type of person with boxes of decorations for every holiday, and you really look forward to putting them up at home and even work. Some people think your enthusiasm is a little childish, but you won’t let them spoil your good time.
