For most people, body art is a big decision. After all, a tattoo is (sorta) forever. Unless you’re an impulsive Aries, in which case you’ve already stopped reading this to pick some new ink off the wall at your local tattoo parlor.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Okay, we know that Aries is an impulsive thrill seeker. That means that you’re more likely than other signs to get a tattoo on the spur of the moment. Your next tattoo will most likely commemorate running a marathon or completing some other major physical milestone.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Taurus is deeply connected to nature. That’s why you’re going to get a tattoo of flowers, a tree, or some other type of plant. Maybe a mushroom? Whatever you decide, you prefer a more realistic style.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
It’s really hard for Gemini to settle on a tattoo design. The thing you feel passionate about today might be left in the dust next month. However, you’re most strongly drawn to quotes or images from your favorite books, comics, and movies.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
While you (probably) won’t get a traditional tattoo of a heart with the word “MOM” on it, Cancer is all about family. You’ll get a tattoo that honors your family in some way–maybe the coordinates of where your kids were born, or a cute little tattoo that represents your spouse.
Leo (July 23-August 22)
If I’m being snarky, I’d say that Leo should get a tattoo of your own face. But Leo is into big, dramatic statements. The first thing that comes to mind is famous Leo Ben Affleck’s massive back tattoo of a phoenix. You might also be drawn to getting a lion inked on your skin.
Virgo (August 23-September 22)
Let’s be real: Virgo is the least likely Zodiac sign to get a tattoo. But if you do, you’ll get something very small and dainty. Maybe a little moon or infinity symbol on your wrist or behind your ear?
Libra (September 23-October 22)
Libra doesn’t necessarily love tattoos, but if you do get one, it’ll be representative of your personal brand. Do you think of yourself as having a symbol or logo–you know, like Louis Vuitton or Chanel? That’s your tattoo right there!
Scorpio (October 23-November 21)
This Zodiac sign probably already has a bunch of tattoos. After all, you gotta keep up your dangerous, edgy image, right? Scorpio is drawn to esoteric or magical symbols, as well as ink that seems a little scary to other people.
Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)
Sagittarius will end up with at least one tattoo that you got inked while traveling. You like to collect experiences rather than souvenirs, so a tattoo that represents your adventures is seriously on brand.
Capricorn (December 23-January 20)
This hard-working, determined sign of the Zodiac is likely to get a tattoo of a quote or image that you find personally motivating. Reach for the stars, Capricorn–and let your tattoo remind you to keep giving 100% every day.
Aquarius (January 20-February 18)
Aquarius will end up with a collection of protest tattoos–signs and symbols of the causes you believe in. It might be as generic as a peace symbol or something deeply personal.
Pisces (February 19-March 20)
Pisces might feel a little skittish about getting a tattoo because of the pain factor. However, if you do decide to get inked, you’ll gravitate toward images you’ve seen in dreams or fantasies. Butterflies, dragons, and mermaids are all good choices for Pisces.
