Discover Your Native American Zodiac Sign

Similar to Chinese astrology – which uses animal signs – the Native American Zodiac also assigns animals, which are known as animal totems.  Discover which animal represents your zodiac sign!

About animal totems

Many Native American cultures believe that a person is assigned an animal spirit guide at the time of their birth. These spirit guides, or spirit beings, are called animal totems.

There are different types of animal totems: Earth animal totems (or land animal totems), water animal totems, air animal totems, reptile and amphibian animal totems and insect animal totems.

In the Native American zodiac we find:

  • Earth animal totems: Wolf, elk (dear), bear.
  • Water animal totems: Otter, beaver, salmon.
  • Air animal totems: Goose (snow goose), hawk (falcon), woodpecker, raven, owl.
  • Reptile and amphibian animal totems: Snake.
